Review on Dead Poets Society

Dead Poets Society Year: 1989 Director: Roger Ebert One of the many memorable movies in which Robin Williams took part in. By watching it makes you think about your life. I find this movie as a shock to one's self because the teacher disputes all the silly things that are written with regard to poetry and by doing this he wants to awaken certain attitude in all his students. He wants them to follow their truth self, to seek for what they want and seize their lives, in other words, to write a verse in each one's life. Therefore the movie is a shock, a wake-up call, maybe not only for the students but to anyone who has open eyes or ears to the call. As to the death we see in the film, I think it is very sad because when the guy looked at his life at the end of it, he realized he had truly lived, but even in that case it still leaves a sad feeling in the viewer, because we can anticipate that he is missing many wonderful things that would take place in his futur...

Review on Mommy

Mommy Year: 2014 Director: Xavier Dolan Is a very sad movie which, for me, is similar to Boyhood  because it shows the struggle of a mother trying to raise her son, nevertheless this one is much stronger and maybe a little more realistic. Mommy has very well made moments that convey the sensation lived by this mother of despair and uncertainty in the constant struggle displayed by his son. In the way I see it, this movie posits something interesting by putting the neighbor as an apparently secondary character even when at the end is really she the one who must make a choice about her family in a conflict between two points: whether she abandons her family or she stays even if that means a lack of happiness. I find amazing the play made with image made by Dolan where he depicts how the characters are trapped in their lifes, and this reinforces the sadnees at the end of the movie when the viewer realizes that this world never opens again. When thinking ab...

Is It follows a good movie?

Synopsis Jay is a nineteen year old girl who lives in a calm US suburb, enjoys his adolescence dating guys and hanging out with her sister and friends. Jay knows a guy which she likes but she doesn't get to imagine how his life will change at the moment she has sex with him. My comment It follows the movie by David Robert Mitchell is a Horror film (which by the way is one of my favorite genders as you will realize with time) that left me a little confused because I knew it had something striking but still it didn't convince me totally, and after watching it twice I have the same opinion... It is an excellent idea that wasn't exploited good enough. Although in all, it is not so bad and in fact it scared me several times which is what you expect from a horror movie, but "It follows" even has one more thing to consider... It changes a little the common way to scare. Besides it is the kind of movie that after seeing it you can find yourself looking every cor...

Review on The cabin in the woods

The cabin in the Woods " 1979 Foggy Morning at Home "  by  anoldent is licensed under   Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 2.0 . It is altogether a very interesting movie which though is sorted out as horror movie and at the beginning it seems to be so. Then, its aim to scare or generate the common atmospheres known in this gender is not too clear. Thus, the moments I really got to experience fear where few and certainly I’m not talking about those which are made for that specific function within the plot. Nevertheless, I wonder if the movie was meant to cause what I experienced, because the film as I see it, intends to go further away from being mere horror. That’s why sometimes it presents scenes nearer to an action movie or even causes great intrigue in the viewer with elements appearing outside the main situation which occurs to a group of students in the cabin. However, even though is not meant to scare, this movie really manages to make some...
